33-Year-Old Man Killed in Escondido Bicycle Crash on West Ninth Avenue and South Spruce Street
Escondido, California (March 28, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday night traffic accident that killed a 33-year-old male bicyclist in Escondido.
The deadly accident occurred at about 7:00 p.m., on March 26, on West Ninth Avenue and South Spruce Street.
According to the police, a 2009 Nissan Altima sedan collided with a bicycle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

The bicyclist was injured in the accident and was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Nissan, a woman, remained at the scene. She was also taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
