Eureka, California (March 27, 2021) – According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, two people were injured after two vehicles crashed in Eureka Thursday afternoon.

The two-vehicle crash took place along Highway 101 near the Mid-City Motor World in Eureka at approximately 3:22 p.m.

It was not immediately established how a black Toyota RAV4 collided with a white Nissan Murano on the highway’s northbound side in the afternoon hours.

Due to the impact, the Nissan acquired a major front-end damage.

CHP Investigating Eureka Accident

Two unidentified victims were hospitalized at St. Joseph Hospital after the wreck. One of the victims complained of pain, while the other one was treated for major injuries.

Meanwhile, the mishap resulted in the closure of the roadway’s northbound lanes for an unknown time.

The accident remains under investigation.
