Merced County, California (March 21, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after two vehicles crash on a highway in Merced County Friday afternoon.

A Toyota Camry and a Nissan Altima crashed on Highway 99 at the Bradbury Road on-ramp just approximately 2:50 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol did not immediately establish how the two vehicles collided near Turlock and Delhi areas in the afternoon hours.

Due to the impact, both automobiles acquired front-end damage

Paramedics responded to the crash site and rushed one unidentified person to Emanuel Medical Center for treatment of major injuries

The wreck resulted in the closure of the southbound Highway 99 for an unknown time.

Meanwhile, the accident remains under active investigation.
