Petaluma, California (March 19, 2021) – A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles on a highway in Petaluma Thursday morning severely injured two people.

The major injury crash took place on Highway 116 at South McDowell Boulevard just before 8 a.m.

The mishap involved four vehicles that crashed head-on along the roadway for unknown reasons.

Paramedics rushed two victims to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of severe injuries.

The wreck resulted in the closure of both directions of the freeway between South McDowell Boulevard and Browns Lane for an unknown time.
