Sacramento, CA: 1 Hospitalized after Multi-Car Crash on Highway 51 near El Camino Avenue Off-Ramp
1 Injured in Sacramento Accident on Northbound Highway 51 near El Camino Avenue Off-Ramp
Sacramento, California (March 19, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision that happened early Friday morning in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The four-vehicle pileup took place at about 12:50 a.m. on northbound Highway 51, just south of El Camino Avenue off-ramp.
Reportedly, a dark-colored vehicle was blacked out in the No. 1 lane and was struck by a white-colored vehicle. Both vehicles ended up facing the wrong way in the No. 1 lane. It was not clear how the other two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported one person to UC Davis Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
Northbound lanes of the highway remained closed for an unknown period following the incident.
An investigation to establish the cause of the crash is ongoing.
