Sacramento County, California (March 17, 2021) – The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified 26-year-old Charles Edwards as one of the two victims killed in a two-vehicle accident in Sacramento County Tuesday morning.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the fatal crash site just before 4:45 a.m., March 16, on Highway 160 north of the Antioch Bridge.

As per the report, a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Jofny Flores of Sacramento collided head-on with another automobile operated by Edwards on southbound side of the highway for unknown reasons.

Officials affirmed both drivers died in the wreck.

The mishap resulted in the closure of the southbound lanes of Highway 160 as investigation and clean-up took place.

An investigation into the deadly crash is underway.
