Portola, CA: CHP Investigating Major Injury Crash on Highway 70 at Grizzly Road

Portola, California (March 14, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a major injury crash that happened Saturday afternoon in Portola.

The California Highway Patrol said the two-vehicle crash occurred at around 4:00 p.m. on Highway 70 at Grizzly Road.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene where a white Kia Sorento and a white Subaru Crosstek collided, blocking the roadway.

The paramedics said at least one person was seriously injured in the crash. The victim was hospitalized in an unknown condition.

Authorities had not yet established the cause of the crash at the time of the report, but an investigation is ongoing.
