Richard Velasquez Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Meridian Avenue

San Jose, California (March 12, 2021) – The San Jose victim who died at a hospital following a pedestrian accident in San Jose on February 4 has been identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office as 36-year-old Richard Velasquez.
The deadly crash happened along Meridian Avenue near the intersection of Parkmoor Avenue on February 4.
Velasquez was struck by a northbound black 2011 Jeep Cherokee while walking westbound across Meridian Avenue outside a marked crosswalk.

The male pedestrian died at the hospital on March 4, Thursday, while undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, there were no other victims hurt in the wreck.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
