To Le ID’d as Elderly Man Killed in San Jose Bicycle Accident at Tully Road and McLaughlin Avenue

San Jose, California (March 9, 2021) – The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office has identified the elderly bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday afternoon at an intersection in San Jose as To Le, 81, of San Jose.
The deadly bicycle accident happened shortly before 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the intersection of Tully Road and McLaughlin Avenue.
Police said Le was riding a bicycle westbound on Tully Road when he was hit by a white Lexus RX3 SUV that was attempting to make a right turn onto northbound McLaughlin Avenue from westbound Tully Road.
The Lexus then struck a black 2007 Chevrolet SUV, which was heading northbound on McLaughlin Avenue.

Le was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a little after 6:30 p.m.
The drivers of the two vehicles were not uninjured in the crash. Investigators said the Lexus driver was cooperative and was not arrested.
