Timothy Carr ID’d as Driver Killed in Moreno Valley Car Crash on Highway 60 near Frederick Street
Moreno Valley, California (March 9, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau has identified the driver who died following a Saturday morning traffic accident in Moreno Valley as Timothy Carr, 36, of Moreno Valley.
The deadly collision took place on 60 Freeway near Frederick Street at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday, March 6.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Carr was driving a 2018 Maserati on the eastbound slow lane at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the vehicle to drift into the adjacent lane and rear-ended a semi-truck.
A a result of the collision, the Maserati spun off the freeway and crashed down an embankment before hitting a tree.
Deadly Car Accident on 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated Carr, who was trapped in the wreckage. The medics then took him to Riverside University Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.
