1 Hospitalized after Novato Car Crash on Vintage Way at Rowland Boulevard
Novato, California (March 5, 2021)– One person was hospitalized Wednesday night following an alleged DUI hit-and-run accident at an intersection near the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center in Novato, according to a local news source.
The crash occurred at around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, on Vintage Way at Rowland Boulevard.
Authorities said Julio Navarrete, 38, of Antioch, was the driver of a vehicle that was reported stolen when the accident happened.
Before the collision, the authorities determined that Llana Summers, 24, of San Francisco, who was riding as a passenger in the stolen vehicle, had attempted to steal wine from a BevMo store.

The second passenger was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately disclosed.
Summers was ultimately arrested and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of shoplifting and conspiracy. Her bail was set at $2,500.
Navarrete fled the scene on foot but was later arrested. He was booked into jail on suspicion of DUI causing injury, hit-and-run, possession of a stolen car, possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit a crime, and a parole violation.
His bail was set at $85,000.
The crash remains under investigation.
