Sacramento County, California (March 4, 2021) – A motorcyclist died Wednesday evening following an alleged DUI crash in Sacramento County, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Just before 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, emergency personnel responded to a report of a head-on accident on Elverta Road, just east of 16th Street.

According to the authorities, a 61-year-old Elverta man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Elverta Road when he collided head-on with a Ford F-150 driven by a 27-year-old Citrus Heights man.

Deadly Motorcycle Accident on Elverta Road in Sacramento County

The motorcyclist died at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the Ford was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The crash remains under investigation.
