National City, California (February 25, 2021) – The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the passenger who died last week on Monday following a single-vehicle crash in National City as Leslie Guadalupe Lepron, 19.
The deadly accident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 15, on Plaza Boulevard, just east Interstate 805, authorities said.
According to the authorities, a vehicle was heading northbound on Interstate 805. It then exited on Plaza Boulevard and veered off the road into the embankment.

Lepron, who was a passenger in the rear seat of the vehicle, was taken to UCSD Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
East Plaza Boulevard near the on-ramp was blocked as the authorities conduct an investigation.

National City Police is investigating the accident.
