Kenia Berber ID’d as Woman Killed in Pleasanton Crash on Interstate 580 near Foothill Road
Pleasanton, California (February 24, 2021) – Kenia Hernandez Berber, 25, of San Leandro, has been identified as the woman who was killed on Valentine’s Day in Pleasanton, according to the Alameda County coroner’s bureau.
The crash occurred at about 4:50 p.m., on February 14, on westbound Interstate Highway 580, just west of Foothill Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota sedan was speeding on Interstate 580 when it veered off the roadway, went up a dirt embankment where it overturned and came to rest on its roof in a lane of the freeway.
Following the collision, Berber, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected onto the roadway, the officials said.

Berber sustained major injuries and was taken to Eden Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The involved driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, the CHP said.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
