Woman Hospitalized after Oxnard Crash at Pacific Coast Highway and Hueneme Road
Oxnard, California (February 19, 2021) – A woman was injured in a Thursday afternoon traffic accident in Oxnard, authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 2:00 p.m., on February 18, near the intersection of PCH and Hueneme Road.
According to the officials, a 1996 Jeep Cherokee collided with a 2006 Peterbilt semi-trailer near the intersection.
The semi was headed westbound on Hueneme Road with the Jeep directly behind it. The Jeep’s driver did not slow down and crashed into the back of the semi, the CHP said.
Woman Injured in Crash near PCH and Hueneme Road
First responders arrived at the scene and extricated the woman who was trapped in the Jeep. The woman was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The driver of the big rig was not injured in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
