Hayward, California (February 17, 2021) – Authorities have identified the 58-year-old Fremont victim who was hit and killed by a vehicle Saturday in Hayward as Valerie Martinez.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened on Saturday along Huntwood Avenue
As per the report, a light-colored 2005 Ford Explorer sport-utility vehicle hit Martinez while walking southbound along street under unclear circumstances.
Due to the impact, the Ford acquired damage to its front-end and possible windshield.
Hayward Accident Kills Valerie Martinez
Martinez was declared dead at the crash site.
Meanwhile, the Hayward Police Department is gathering more evidence to locate the involved motorist who fled the scene without rendering aid to the pedestrian.
