Rider Injured in San Clemente Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway near Avenida Pico
San Clemente, California (February 15, 2021) – At least one person was injured in a motorcycle accident that happened in San Clemente on Sunday afternoon.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 Freeway near Avenida Pico at about 1:40 p.m. February 14.
The authorities who responded to the incident located three motorcycles at the scene of the accident.
The events leading up to the accident, however, were not immediately established.
One rider is reported to have suffered a major road rash all over his body and possible fractured hands and was transported to Mission Hospital for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
