Kaylee Figueroa among 2 Killed in Gustine Motorcycle Accident at Hunt Road and Gun Club Road

Gustine, California (February 8, 2021) – Kaylee Figueroa, 7, of Gustine, was among two people who were killed in a traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a car near Gustine Sunday afternoon.
The deadly crash happened at about 1:35 p.m. Sunday, February 7, at the intersection of Hunt Road and Gun Club Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The CHP said Norman Figueroa, 66, of Gustine, was riding a motorcycle northbound on Hunt Road when, for unknown reasons, he tried to make a U-turn at the intersection with Gun Club Road and collided with a 2007 Acura TL.
The Acura then continued onto the east shoulder, where it crashed into a metal fence.
Norman Figueroa and his passenger, Kaylee Figueroa, were ejected from the bike upon the impact. Both riders were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
Deadly Motorcycle Accident at Hunt Road and Gun Club Road
Norman Figueroa was pronounced dead at the scene. His granddaughter sustained major injuries and was transported to Los Banos Memorial Hospital and later taken to Valley Children’s Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday night.
Vasquez suffered major injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Merced for treatment.
No further details regarding the collision were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
