San Jose, California (February 6, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in San Jose on Friday night.
The deadly collision happened on Highway 101 near Interstate 880 Freeway at about 10:52 p.m. February 5, according to a local news source.
The California Highway Patrol said a 62-year-old man was running across Highway 101 and was hit by a Ford pickup truck.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver and a passenger in the pickup truck were unhurt.
