Chula Vista, California (February 6, 2021) – 85-year-old Leandro Hernandez has been identified as the victim who died after being hit by a vehicle last month on January 17 in Chula Vista.
The hit-and-run crash happened on East H Street near Del Rey Boulevard about 6:30 p.m.
As per the Chula Vista Police report, Hernandez was struck by a vehicle whose driver escaped the scene.

Sadly, Hernandez was pronounced dead the scene.
Meanwhile, police later found a vehicle matching the suspect’s car. The accident remains under active investigation.
