At Least 1 Severely Injured in Arroyo Grande Car Crash on Highway 1 at Giuseppe Way
Arroyo Grande, California (February 5, 2021) – Authorities are investigating after a major injury traffic collision happened Thursday evening on a highway in Arroyo Grande.
The incident took place at about 6:41 p.m. on Highway 1 at Giuseppe Way, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash involved a white Tesla and a black Chevrolet pickup truck. The vehicles collided for unknown reasons and were blocking traffic lanes after the incident.
Sheriff’s deputies and paramedics responded to the scene to help the victims. At least one person suffered major injuries in the crash.
At least one of the vehicles was towed away from the scene.
Traffic flow was affected following the incident, but the roadway was open as at 7:45 p.m.
The cause of the crash will be established when authorities conclude their investigation.
