Elderly Woman Killed, 1 Injured in Napa Car Crash at Soscol Avenue and Silverado Trail

Napa, California (February 4, 2021) – An elderly woman was killed and one other person was injured Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident at an intersection in Napa, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash, which involved two vehicles, was reported shortly before 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Soscol Avenue and Silverado Trail.
Authorities said one vehicle was heading northbound on Soscol Avenue when, for an unknown reason, it collided with an SUV that was turning from Soscol Avenue onto Silverado Trail.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical aid to three people involved in the accident.
Two patients, including an 86-year-old woman, were then transported to a nearby hospital where the 86-year-old later succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
The deceased woman was a passenger in one of the involved vehicles, authorities said. Her name was withheld pending notification of her relatives.
Both drivers remained at the scene and were cooperative, authorities said. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
The road was closed for nearly two hours while the investigation and cleanup took place.
