Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 74 in Lake Elsinore
24-Year-Old Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Lake Elsinore Crash on Highway 74 at Hammack Avenue

Lake Elsinore, California (February 4, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a hit-and-run accident in Lake Elsinore, according to a local news source.
The major injury collision happened at around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, on Highway 74 at Hammack Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a 24-year-old Lake Elsinore resident was riding a Suzuki dirt bike westbound on Highway 74 with no lighting equipment while a gray four-door 2006 Ford F-250 was heading eastbound.
The Ford reportedly turned northbound on Hammack Avenue directly in front of the dirt bike. The Ford eventually collided with the bike.
As a result of the collision, the rider was thrown off the bike and landed at the intersection.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident on Highway 74 in Lake Elsinore
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries and was taken by emergency responders to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment. The name of the patient and their current condition were not disclosed.
The driver of the Ford fled the scene on foot. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or driver.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
