Sabrina Lecce Killed in Alleged DUI Crash on Highway 101 in San Ardo

San Ardo, California (February 3, 2021) – Sabrina Lecce, 23, of Shandon, has been identified as the woman who was killed in an alleged DUI accident that left one other person injured on Tuesday evening south of King City near San Ardo, authorities said.

The deadly two-vehicle accident happened at about 5:00 p.m., on February 2, on southbound Highway 101 near Alvarado Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2009 Lincoln, driven by Balthazar Donato, 27, of Greenfield, swerved into the wrong lane and crashed into another vehicle, driven by Lecce, in unclear circumstances.

Sadly, Lecce sustained fatal injuries in the accident. One other passenger in Lecce’s sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The CHP said Donato was also hurt but arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
