Eduardo Rios Cited For DUI Following Goleta Crash at Calle Real and North La Patera Lane
Goleta, California (January 29, 2021) – Eduardo Rios, 31, of Oxnard, was charged following an alleged DUI crash that happened Thursday morning in Goleta
The crash, which involved three vehicles, happened shortly before noon on Thursday, January 28, at the intersection of Calle Real and North La Patera Lane.
According to the officials, a tan-colored Infinity SUV, driven by Rios, collided with two other vehicles at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
Following the collision, one of the vehicles reportedly overturned and landed on its roof.
2 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash at Calle Real and North La Patera Lane
The driver of the overturned vehicle was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by firefighters.
The freed driver and the second driver were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with minor injuries. Their names and condition were not immediately disclosed.
Rios was cited for suspicion of driving under the influence.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
