2 People Hospitalized after Goleta Car Crash at Calle Real and North La Patera Lane
Goleta, California (January 29, 2021) – Two people were injured in an alleged DUI crash on Thursday morning in Goleta, authorities said.
The minor injury two-vehicle accident happened shortly before noon on January 28, at Calle Real and North La Patera Lane.
According to the officials, a tan-colored Infinity SUV, driven by Eduardo Rios, 31, of Oxnard, collided with two other vehicles at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
Following the collision, one of the vehicles reportedly overturned and landed on its roof.
2 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash at Calle Real and North La Patera Lane
One driver was trapped in one of the vehicles and was freed by the first responders. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The other driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Rios was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
