At Least 1 Killed in Highway 4 Crash near Alhambra Avenue in Martinez
Martinez, California (January 27, 2021) – At least one person was killed Wednesday afternoon in a traffic accident in Martinez, according to a local news source.
The deadly single-vehicle crash happened just after 3:45 p.m. on the Alhambra Avenue off-ramp for westbound Highway 4, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a black Lexus veered off the roadway and struck a tree.

At least one person was declared dead at the scene. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The No. 3 lane of Highway 4 off-ramp was closed for about two hours due to the crash. As of 5:41 p.m., all lanes were reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
