40-Year-Old Lake County Woman Killed, 2 Children Injured in Napa County Crash on Silverado Trail near Yountville

Napa County, California (January 22, 2021) – A woman was killed and her two children were hospitalized late Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident in Napa County, according to a local news source.
The deadly single-vehicle crash happened at around 4:03 p.m. Thursday, January 21, in the 6200 block of Silverado Trail northeast of Yountville, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a 2010 Honda was traveling on Silverado Trail when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control and the vehicle hit a tree near Baldacci Family Vineyards.
A 40-year-old woman from Lower Lake, Lake County, who was in the front passenger seat, died in the crash. Her 15-year-old daughter, who was the driver of the Honda, and 13-year-old son in the rear seat, were transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.
All three occupants were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident, authorities said.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
