Sacramento, California (January 16, 2021) – Minor injuries were sustained when several vehicles collided Friday night at an intersection in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP, three cars collided at around 10:00 p.m. at 47th Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard for unknown reasons.

The vehicles were described as a Nissan Altima, a Jeep Cherokee, and a third unknown car.

The report said one of the vehicles was allegedly involved in another traffic crash just before this one. The initial crash was described as a hit-and-run with property damage only.

Responding emergency crews said that minor injuries were sustained in the crash. An ambulance was requested to offer medical aid to the victims.

Both the Altima and the Cherokee acquired front-end damage. Both cars were towed away from the scene.

CHP is investigating the crash.
