2 Injured, 1 Seriously in Chico Crash on Highway 99
Chico, California (January 14, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday morning traffic accident that left two people injured, one seriously in Chico.
The major injury two-vehicle accident happened at about 11:00 a.m. on Highway 99 near Hamilton Nord Cana Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was headed southbound on the highway when, for unknown reasons, it rear-ended another car.

A passenger in the car that was hit sustained a broken bone and was taken to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the other car was also hospitalized with minor injuries, including cuts and bruises.
Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, the CHP said.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
