Motorcyclist and Bicyclist Die after Jamul Crash on Otay Lakes Road
Jamul, California (January 11, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning traffic accident that killed a bicyclist and a motorcyclist in Jamul, San Diego.
The deadly crash occurred about 9:30 a.m. on Otay Lakes Road near the Pio Pico RV Resort and Campground.
According to the police, a group of cyclists was riding on Otay Lakes Road in a line when the passing motorcyclist struck the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was reportedly the last in a line of other cyclists who were traveling eastbound on the roadway. The motorcyclist was also headed eastbound in a group with three friends.

Sadly, the motorcyclist and the bicyclist sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Traffic on Otay Lakes Road between the campground and Highway 94 was stopped for an unknown period due to the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
