Man Killed in Interstate 80 Accident near Highway 20 in Grass Valley
Grass Valley, California (January 8, 2021) – A man, believed to approximately 70 years old, was killed Friday morning in a single-vehicle traffic accident in Grass Valley, Nevada County, according to California Highway Patrol.
Just before 8:00 a.m., emergency personnel responded to Interstate 80 near Highway 20 for a report of a car accident.
Upon arrival, they determined that a vehicle crashed about 100 feet down an eastbound embankment. Details of what led up to the accident were not immediately available.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of his relatives.
