Motorcyclist Killed in La Jolla Crash on Torrey Pines Road near La Jolla Shores Beach
La Jolla, California (January 7, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident Thursday afternoon in La Jolla, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash happened at around 1:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of Torrey Pines Road near La Jolla Shores Beach.
Police said a 19-year-old man was riding a 2019 Honda sportbike northbound on Torrey Pines Road when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the motorcycle and slammed into a center divider wall.
The force of the impact threw the rider onto the other side of the street and was hit by an Acura SUV that was heading southbound on Torrey Pines Road.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of his relatives.
