Erik Lopez ID’d as 53-Year-Old Man Killed in Newbury Park Car Crash on 101 Freeway at Borchard Road Off-Ramp

Newbury Park, California (January 8, 2021) – Erik Lopez, 53, of Ventura, has been identified as the man who was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Monday morning in Newbury Park, the CHP said.
The deadly accident was reported at about 7:30 a.m., on January 4, on 101 Freeway at Borchard Road off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevy pickup truck, driven by Lopez, was coming off the northbound freeway when it went off the Borchard Road off-ramp.
The Chevy flipped over, landed on its side, and lodged in a stand of bushes, the officials said.

Sadly, Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.
