Kelly Cameron ID’d as Woman Killed in La Mesa Pedestrian Accident on Harbinson Avenue
La Mesa, California (January 6, 2021) – The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in La Mesa as Kelly Lynne Cameron, 54, of La Mesa.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 3:35 p.m. Thursday, December 31 in the 4770 block of Harbinson Avenue.
Authorities said Cameron was crossing Harbinson Avenue when she was struck by an eastbound 2016 Subaru SRX, driven by a 27-year-old woman.
The driver stopped at the scene and called the police.
Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Harbinson Avenue
Cameron was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
Harbinson Avenue was closed in both directions between Colony and Bonita roads due to the collision.
