Bakersfield, California (January 6, 2021) – At least one person was hurt following a traffic collision that took place at an intersection in Bakersfield on January 1.

The hit-and-run crash took place at Sterling Road and Deacon Avenue shortly after 12:40 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol did not establish how a black Honda car and a second unspecified vehicle crashed at the intersection.

Officials said the motorist of the other involved car did not stop to render aid and escaped the crash site.

At least one Honda occupant sustained unspecified injuries following the mishap.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
