Orange County, California (December 30, 2020) – A construction worker was injured in a traffic accident on Wednesday morning in Westminster, Orange County, authorities said.
The accident happened on 405 Freeway near Beach Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a dump truck was traveling northbound on the Freeway when its liftable rear axle came loose and struck the construction worker.

The worker was hospitalized in an unknown condition. The worker was part of a 405 Freeway re-paving project overnight crew.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
