Pedestrian Killed in Salinas Crash on Highway 101 near Laurel Drive
Salinas, California (December 30, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Tuesday night in Salinas, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 6:30 p.m., on December 29, on Highway 101, north of Laurel Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian, believed to have a homeless person, was walking on the highway when a vehicle struck them in unclear circumstances.

Sadly, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police. A side-mirror from the vehicle-involved accident was recovered at the scene of the crash.
More details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
