Dean Tierman Struck and Seriously Injured by Vehicle on Interstate 5 near County Road 48 in Willows

Willows, California (December 29, 2020) – The man who was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle on Christmas Day in Willows has been identified as Dean Tierman, 67, of Stockton.
The major injury pedestrian accident transpired at about 7:45 p.m. Friday, December 25, on Interstate 5, just north of County Road 48.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Tierman was walking in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 when a vehicle struck him.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found Tierman lying partially on the roadway with major injuries to his legs and face.
The involved driver did not stop to render to Tierman and fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a teal-colored 1997 Ford Expedition with damage in the passenger side rear mirror.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run motorist.
