John Haugen ID’d as 68-Year-Old Man Killed in Lincoln Car Crash at Athens Avenue and Foothills Boulevard in Lincoln
Lincoln, California (December 28, 2020) – John Haugen, 68, of Rocklin, has been identified as the man who was killed in a head-on car crash on Monday morning in Lincoln, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened at the intersection of Athens Avenue and North Foothills Boulevard at about 11:29 a.m.
A Chevy SUV, driven by Haugen, was headed eastbound on Athens Avenue when it drifted into the westbound lane where it collided head-on with a white Ford Utility truck, the CHP said.

Sadly, Haugen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, Gary Barbier, 59, was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with minor injuries.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
