Woman Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash on East Wardlow Road

Long Beach, California (December 24, 2020) – A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday night in Long Beach, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 10:30 p.m., on December 23, in the 300 block of East Wardlow Road.
According to the police, the woman, who was not in a crosswalk, was struck by a vehicle on the roadway for undetermined reasons.

The woman was transported to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The involved driver, a 65-year-old Long Beach woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
