7 Injured in Banning Car Crash on 10 Freeway near Highland Springs Avenue

Banning, California (December 20, 2020) – Seven people were injured after a vehicle drifted off the freeway in Banning on Saturday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 11 p.m. on Interstate 10 Freeway near Highland Springs Avenue.

A Jeep reportedly went off the right shoulder and into the bushes.

The officers who responded to the incident found the overturned vehicle about 40 feet away from the roadway.

The firefighters had to extricate one person from the vehicle, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Four people sustained moderate injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Three others had minor injuries.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
