Billy Bailey ID’d as Elderly Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash at Patterson Road and Hot Springs Lane in Riverbank
Riverbank, California (December 19, 2020) – Authorities have identified the man who died Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Riverbank as Billy Bailey, 91, of Modesto.
The deadly accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, near the intersection of Patterson Road and Hot Springs Lane.
Authorities said Alyssa Herrera, 24, of Oakdale, was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on Patterson Road when a Lincoln Town Car pulled onto Patterson Road into the path of her car.
The Corolla then crashed into the side of the Lincoln while entering from the north side of the road.
The driver of the Lincoln, Bailey, was transported to nearby hospitals, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Herrera was also hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
