Rancho Cordova, CA: Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 50 near Sunrise Boulevard Off-Ramp

Rancho Cordova, California (December 17, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating an early Thursday morning Rancho Cordova crash that happened on Highway 50.

According to CHP, three vehicles collided at about 1:43 a.m. in the westbound lanes, just east of Sunrise Boulevard off-ramp.

The vehicles were a Honda Accord, a white box van, and a third unknown vehicle.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the motorists. The report said major injuries were sustained in the crash but did not mention the number of those injured.

All three vehicles were towed away with crash damage. The Accord had at least one of its airbags deployed.

Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
