San Jose Car Collision at Story and King Roads Left One Person Dead
San Jose, California (December 9, 2020) – 18-year-old Jose Martinez, of San Jose, has been arrested following an alleged fatal hit-and-run accident that happened Sunday morning in San Jose.
The deadly car crash took place in the area of Story and King Roads shortly before 3:10 a.m. December 6.
A stolen 2013 Honda operated by Martinez eastbound on Story Road, at a high rate of speed, lost control and struck a tree and a light pole.
Martinez did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
Jose Martinez Arrested Following Fatal San Jose Hit-and-Run Crash
Sadly, a young girl was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
A female and a male party riding in the car as passengers sustained serious injuries while a third male passenger survived with life-threatening injuries following the mishap. All three unidentified victims were rushed to an area hospital for medication.
Police later found Martinez in San Jose and arrested him Sunday evening. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, driving a stolen vehicle, and hit-and-run.
The accident remains under investigation by the San Jose police.
