Aimee Lang ID’d as Woman Killed in Costa Mesa Pedestrian Accident on 55 Freeway near 405 Freeway
Costa Mesa, California (November 30, 2020) – The Orange County Sheriff-Coroner has identified the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle on Thanksgiving Day in Costa Mesa as Aimee Lang, 25.
The deadly accident happened at about 3:20 a.m. Thursday, November 26, on 55 Freeway, also known as Costa Mesa Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Lang was hit by a white Ford Fusion in the northbound lane of 55 Freeway.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 55 Freeway in Costa Mesa
Lang was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ford driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Police shut down the Nos. 3, 4 and 5 northbound lanes of the Costa Mesa Freeway as they investigated the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
