San Bernardino, California (November 29, 2020) – A Bakersfield man was killed in a suspected DUI car crash that left four children seriously injured in San Bernardino on Friday night.

According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 11:47 p.m. November 27, on Kendall Drive near University Parkway.

A Ford Mustang was traveling westbound on Kendall Drive at high speeds when it drove through a red light and crashed into a Toyota Camry at the intersection.

The Camry reportedly caught fire after the collision.

The 31-year-old driver of the Camry was killed in the accident.

Four children in the Camry were seriously injured in the accident and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Mustang, Brandon Jaquez-Perez, 23, of Bloomington, was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
