Boy Killed in Ramona Skateboard Accident on Barona Mesa Road near La Plata Court
Ramona, California (November 25, 2020) – A teenager died after being struck by a car as he rode a skateboard in Ramona, San Diego, on Tuesday night.
The deadly incident was reported at about 7:20 p.m. November 24, on Barona Mesa Road near La Plata Court, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two teenage boys were reportedly riding skateboards and another was riding a bicycle eastbound on Barona Mesa Road when one teenager was hit by a 2001 Ford F-150 driven by a 20-year-old Ramona man.
The driver stopped at the scene and rendered aid to the injured victim.
Sadly, the unidentified boy succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The authorities said intoxication was not a factor in the crash.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
