Kevin Farris ID’d as Kern County Man Killed in Lancaster Big Rig Accident on 14 Freeway near Avenue K-8

Lancaster, California (November 25, 2020) – Kevin Farris, 26, of Rosamond, has been identified as the man who was killed in a traffic accident involving a big rig on Monday night in Lancaster, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened at about 9:20 p.m., on November 23, on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Avenue K-8.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2008 Infiniti, driven by Farris, rear-ended a northbound 2020 Freightliner that was hauling a flatbed trailer.

Farris was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Mitchell Hernandez, 32, of Coachella in Riverside County, was not injured in the accident. Hernandez was the Freightliner’s driver.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the mishap.
