Tuolumne County, California (November 22, 2020) – One person was injured and another was arrested after an alleged DUI crash that happened Tuesday in Tuolumne County, according to a local news source.

The accident took place on Highway 120 between Keystone and Knights Ferry on Tuesday, November 17.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 1992 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jesus Madrigal, 62, of Oakdale, was heading westbound on the highway when it veered off the roadway and crashed through a metal fence.

The vehicle then rolled over and landed onto its left side.

A passenger in the vehicle, Vianey Villasenor, 36, of Modesto, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Authorities determined that Madrigal was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident. He was eventually arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and DUI. His bail was set at $30,000.

The accident remains under investigation.
